Mini Sagas by B31 & B22a classes

Belief

Sierra daily goes to church to pray. Her friends don't believe in God. Sierra is always trying to make them understand that God is the truth but all she receives is mockery. People make fun of her religion but little do they know. One day they’ll be in her shoes. (P.M, B31)

 Rich at heart

Two beggars were sitting on the pavement .Someone threw a loaf of bread at them. One of them caught it and gave half of it to the other beggar who hadn't eaten for days. A passer-by who saw the whole scene thought...If we could all be so rich at heart!  (O.A, B31)

 The dilemma

There once was a man in a dilemma. He didn’t know what to choose …two wheels or four.  Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul! Four wheels lay down power   , two wheels express  feelings. He chose …He got both. Then he died. (K.P, B31)

Bullying
An incident at school drew my attention. It all started when John was at the canteen buying his meal. Andrew, standing nearby, made fun of John… horrible, nasty comments about his weight and height. Shock and embarrassment were drawn on John’s face. He burst into tears. (E.A, B31)

The wooden stick

While I was driving, an elderly man appeared at the side of the road, limping with a wooden stick. His piercing eyes freaked me out. I sped off! Reaching home safely, I thought I had imagined him. The next morning, to my surprise, a wooden stick propped against the wall… . (N.P, B31)

Giving up

A group of frogs wanted to go over a pit. Two of them fell in. They tried to get out. The frogs outside shouted, “No hope”. The one took their advice, fell and died. The other persisted and got out. It thought the others called encouraging words. .It was deaf. (K.A, B31)

Underestimation

My dad and I were hyped due to the fact that our favourite team Apoel was playing against a small team from Louxembourg.  Apoel fans and  players were in for a big surprise.  The small team wonb the game. Apparently, we underestimated them. I murmured, “Small does not mean weak.” (S.M, B22a)

Friendship

An African girl named  Amara.recently moved to Nicosia. Her first day  at school was just awful. The kids in her class made her feel insignificant except Maria who became her friend.  Maria soon realized that her new friend had great personality.  Their friendship lasted a lifetime.  Friendship knows no colour. (E.B, B22a)
